Network Week 2024

Application DEADLINE: Sunday 14th of January 23:59

What is Network week?

For the past 18 years the Network Week is a series of encounters where photography students’ meet photographers and practioners within the photography field to assist them to get to know the field of photography and enable them to interact with professionals, to facilitate their understanding of their future practices, careers and professional fields.

The idea of Network Week is to allow students to get acquainted with the photography work field, gain experience, conduct research, and/or find potential partners by visiting them and their places of work. We want to emphasize how important we think it is to be able to meet, inspire and discuss with each other. Meeting professionals is a key moment for students to think of their interests, practices, and trajectory of becoming photographers.

ESCAPISM

This year, our theme is “Escape.” It serves as a vast canvas for your imagination to break free, encouraging you to explore new perspectives and express yourself through the lens. Whether your escapism is found in the realm of art or signifies a departure from the ordinary, let this theme be the wind beneath your wings as you allow your creativity to soar!

Let the coming days be a celebration of shared creativity, innovative discussions, and the boundless potential that arises when we come together. We look forward to witnessing how the days unfolds during Network Week 2024.

Studio Visits

This year students will have possibility to visit more than 20 professionals in their working space. The Network Week studio visits are an excellent opportunity for students to assess the study program at the KABK by reflecting on the current developments in the professional field, get inspired and gain insights into the work of professional photographers. Some of the artists have offered to host portfolio reviews so it would be advisable to BRING YOUR PORTFOLIO.
